El segundo periodo de sesiones de la Asamblea de ONU-Hábitat (órgano universal compuesto por los 193 Estados miembros de las Naciones Unidas y convocado cada cuatro años) se celebrará del 5 al 9 de junio de 2023 en la sede de ONU-Hábitat en Nairobi (Kenia).

El tema de la sesión es «Un futuro urbano sostenible a través de un multilateralismo inclusivo y eficaz: alcanzar los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible en tiempos de crisis global.» Puede encontrar más información y el borrador del programa aquí.

El jueves 8 por la mañana será el espacio dedicado para que convoquemos la Asamblea Mundial de Gobiernos Locales y Regionales, así como la sesión sobre Localización (que tendrá como tema especial las finanzas).

CIB Annual Meeting 2023 in Marrakech

During the annual meeting of the CIB Working Group, professionals of Local Government Associations (LGAs) and local governments responsible for substantive programmes in capacity development and development cooperation will gather to exchange information and knowledge on the latest trends in our sector, with special attention for the perspective of the Global South. Aside from various group discussions and interactive world cafés, aimed at peer learning and knowledge sharing, various international and national key note speakers will be invited to the City of Marrakech, to provide informative presentations, case studies and best practices.

The venue of the meeting will be the Cadi Ayyad University. All other practical details are enclosed in the logistical note attached, that includes information on transport and visa requirements etc. The draft program of the Annual Meeting is also provided in the attachments.
