Seville hosts the UN-Habitat meeting on compact and inclusive city planning

On 13 and 14 March, a Global Expert Meeting (EGM) was held in Seville under the theme “Planning compact cities: exploring the possibilities and the limits of densification”. The event was organised by UN-Habitat with the support of the Andalusian International Development Cooperation Agency (AACID) and the City of Seville.

The event was organised by UN-Habitat with the support of the Andalusian International Development Cooperation Agency (AACID) and the City of Seville.
UCLG participated in this meeting representing the commitment and political and technical leadership for the implementation of the New Urban Agenda.
The Expert Meeting is part of the work process that the United Nations Human Settlements Programme is carrying out on the New Urban Agenda, in particular, in the relation between urban planning and economic development from the perspective that the Agenda 2030 focuses on inclusive human settlements in its Goal 11, among others
