The United Nations celebrate the International Day on Water.  United Cities and Local Governments would like to reiterate the engagements adopted during the last World Water Forum in Marseille from 12 to 17, where local and regional leaders adopted their political message, developping new financing tools, ensuring the universal access to water and sanitation and reducing disaster risk reduction linked to water.  UCLG will also dedicate its Third Global Report on Decentralisation and Local Democracy on access to basic services.
