Cuenca, Ecuadorian city member of UCLG, which was among the first signatory of the Mexico Pact, launched in November 2010 in Mexico city a few days before the Cancun climate negotiations, has further ratified the Pact and will start implementing the recommended actions and comply with the Carbonn registry.

UCLG wants to congratulate Cuenca for having taken that step, illustrating once more the willingness of local governments of the world to fight climate change and invite all its members to follow this path, demonstrating States and international community that we are taking actions under a common and reliable framework.
