UCLG members, local and regional governments around the world call for dialogue and the active construction of peace in our cities in these difficult times.

We express solidarity with cities around the world which are being subject of terror attacks. Our thoughts are with the Parisians today but also with the citizens of Beirut and of other cities in the world which are currently dealing with terrible violence.

Our cities and towns are the spaces where the creativity and richness of the human spirit has best been expressed. We hope the values that unite us all will prevail and UCLG looks forward to contributing to creating  tolerant, free and peaceful  societies.
