This second annual meeting of the programme « Support to decentralisation in developping countries » was held in Barcelona on 30th and 31st May. 

It has first been the opportunity to analyse the priority requests from associations of local governments in four regions of the world (East Africa, West Africa, South-East Asia and Latin America) and the setting up of Regional Observatories on Decentralisation. The meeting also focused on the implementation of Decentralisation Indicators and the relations with regional and intergovernments mechanisms in the framework of the workplan for 2011-2012.

This programme is put in place by UCLG-ASPAC, EAGLA, FLACMA and the platform for local authorities’ associations in West Africa, in coordination in UCLGA, and with the support of the World Secretariat and the co-financing of the European Commission and the Diptuacion de Barcelona (june 2010 – november 2012).
