Join the Conversation at the Committee on the Status of Women


The United Nations will celebrate the 57th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) on 4-15 March 2013 in New York.


CSW is the principal UN global policy-making body dedicated exclusively to gender equality and advancement of women. The priority theme will be: Elimination and prevention of all forms of violence against women and girls“.


UN Women is involving key stakeholders, such as local governments representatives and policy makers, in its preparation through a two-week online discussion from 23 July to 3 August.


Outcomes will be used by UN Women to inform the UN Secretary General’s reports for CSW 57 and will be publish on line.
